A NEW psychiatric report for Charles Laxton Sundar, who is accused of killing and dismembering his 86-year-old grandfather last year, has been requested by his lawyer.
Appearing for the accused yesterday, Timoci Varinava informed Justice Usaia Ratuvili at the High Court in Suva that according to information received from St Giles Hospital, Mr Sundar was on new medication and showing improvement.
The 25-year-old faces a murder charge for the death of Emori Rokovuki in Lutu, Wainibuka on July 12, 2025.
Justice Ratuvili has ordered Mr Sundar be further remanded and that a new report be ready on the next court date.
The court has been waiting for a report since November 2025 to determine if Mr Sundar is fit to enter a plea.
The case has been adjourned to May 19 for review.
