70,794 tourists arrived in Fiji in January, the Fiji Bureau of Statistics has reported.
This compares to 83,840 tourists who came to Fiji in December.
Of the 70,794 visitors, 69,653 came by air while 1,141 came by sea.
The sea arrivals were mostly seamen on fishing vessels (1,137) and 4 arrivals by yacht.
For January 2025 visitors arriving for holiday purposes accounted for 78.9% of total arrivals, 7.2% came to visit their friends or relatives, 1.4% came for business purposes, while 12.5% visited Fiji for other reasons.
35,430 Australians came to Fiji in January and 12,373 were from New Zealand.
