Decorate your earphones

Too often we hear people complaining about earphones going missing in the workplace.

Everyone else has earphones that look the same as yours?

Did you know that decorating your earphones can avoid it tangling inside your bag?

The www.lovethispic.com website has everything you need to know about decorating your earphones.

These are some ways that you can customise your earphones to make them stand out from the rest.

DIY with nail polish

Materials:

1. Earphones

2. Variety of nail polish colours

3. Clear nail polish

4. Masking tape

5. Clothespins

Steps:

1. Tape off various pieces of the headphones. The pieces can vary in distance, from 1/2 inch to a few inches apart. Make sure to firmly press the tape to avoid the paint seeping through.

2. Hang the headphones somewhere between two clothespins so that you can easily paint around the entire wire.

3. Using various nail polish colours as you like, paint the exposed pieces of the headphones. Let it completely dry.

4. Remove the pieces of masking tape. If you do this step while the nail polish is still tacky, it will seep through so be sure it is 100 per cent dry.

5. Paint the remaining pieces of the headphones (where the tape used to be). You can either do this freehand or tape it off once again to ensure straight lines. Let dry.

6. Add a thin layer of clear nail polish to seal it in and avoid the paint from chipping.

DIY with beads

Materials

1. Beads

2. Cutter

Steps:

1. Slice a line down each bead from top to bottom with a cutter.

2. Open them up with a fingernail and slip them on to the earphone cord

3. Do not fill up the space between the earphone jack and where the two wires split do so that there would be some room for them to bend and still wrap up.

DIY with coloured tapes

Materials

1. Different coloured tapes

2. Scissors

Steps:

1. Cut out strips of coloured tape one at a time according to the length that you prefer.

2. Stick them onto the cord of the earphones.

3. Be creative and alternate the colours so that they look attractive.
