BA Football president Praneel Dayal has urged supporters to come out in numbers today when they face Labasa in their FMF IDC Super Premier Division semi-final.
Dayal made the call on Thursday after the Men in Black won 3-0 over Nadi in their last Super Premier Division pool match.
“We have qualified to the semi-finals now and I’d like to see our Ba people around Fiji and even overseas,” Dayal urged the fans.
“Please do fly over, come over and fill up the stadium here.
“We want to see all black on Saturday (today) against Labasa in the semi-final that’s going to come up and let’s cheer for Ba.”
“As we always say, we are Ba and I’d like to request all the Ba fans from my heart; as your president of Ba Football Association to come out in numbers and cheer for your team.”
With Ba reaching the semi-finals after an eventful first three days of competition, Dayal understands some fans are willing to make the long journey down from the Western Division to see the Men in Black face the Babasiga Lions.
But the team’s consistent podium finishes with wins of the Extra Premier League, the Battle of the Giants and the 2026 BiC Fiji FACT is also something the team is working its through to stay composed on the present task.
“Getting those three titles, it was really hard work for all of the Ba team management board and getting composed together, there was a lot of pressure,” Dayal explained.
“Until now, we have a lot of pressure in our head as well in making sure we get a success in the IDC.
“There’s always ups and downs in life but we have not lost our hope in any stage and then we are making sure that the players are kept well, playing four or five matches in a week.
“It’s not easy, getting out of these three (pool) matches and qualfiying for the semi-finals so basically we’ll be coming strong on Saturday.”
Ba faces Labasa at 5pm at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
