A gale warning remains in force for Northern Lau group, with damaging gale force winds of up to 65km/hr with gusts to 80km/hr expected from later today.
The Nadi weather office states a strong wind warning remains in force for coastal areas of Southeastern parts of Viti Levu, Beqa, Vatulele, Kadavu, Yasawa, Southern parts of Vanua Levu, Taveuni, Cikobia, Qelelevu, Southern Lau and Lomaiviti Groups.
These areas can expect strong Southeast winds up to 55km/hr with gusts up to 70km/hr.
The heavy rain warning previously in force for parts of the country has been cancelled.
