THE race to the knockout stages of the Ba Rugby Union Vinod Patel Cup has officially reached its conclusion after Round 6, with the final pool standings confirming who will battle for Cup glory and who now shifts focus to survival and silverware in the lower tiers.

In Pool A, Natalecake stamped their authority across the competition with a flawless campaign. Six matches, six wins, and 25 competition points saw them finish unbeaten at the summit. Their dominance was backed by a strong attacking return of 148 points scored and a healthy +60 points differential.

Close behind were Nailaga, who also produced an impressive run with five wins from six matches to finish second on 23 points. Ba River secured third spot after collecting four wins, while Balevuto rounded out the Cup quarter-final qualifiers despite finishing with a negative points differential proving that results mattered more than margins.

Outside the top four, Duiyasana, Sasa, Bukuya and Nadelei miss out on the Cup rounds and now continue through the Bowl pathway.

Pool B produced one of the tightest finishes of the competition.

Rarawai FSC edged to top spot with 24 points after winning five of their six matches. Their attack proved one of the most dangerous in the tournament, piling on 159 points and finishing with a +69 differential.

Behind them, Toge and Navala both ended level on 23 points, while Sorokoba remained right in contention with 22. With teams separated by only a single point, every bonus point earned across the six rounds proved decisive.

Camanivanua, Lomavata, Tabalei and Vadravadra now move into the Bowl competition after falling short of Cup qualification.

With the pool stage complete, attention now turns to the quarter-finals where eight teams remain in the hunt for Vinod Patel Cup honours.

One thing is clear the margins are getting smaller, and there is no room left for error.
