A 60-year-old farmer in Macuata died after he was allegedly attacked by a cow on Tuesday morning.
Police confirmed the alleged incident happened at Qelemumumu, outside Labasa Town while the farmer was grazing his cattle.
“The family was having breakfast and they heard the dogs continuously barking so one of them went out to check on the old man,” police said.
“When the family member got to the farm he saw the man on the ground and he alerted other family members.
“The matter was then reported to police and we are waiting for further details from the investigating officer.”
