No new cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in the country in the last 24-hours.

In a post on his official Facebook page, Fijian Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama said there were still five confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the country.

The five include a one-year-old baby, a 27-year-old and 28-year-old man, and a 47-year-old and a 31-year-old woman.

“This is not a disease that is limited to the elderly,” Mr Bainimarama said on his post.

“Every person in Fiji should act as if anyone, anywhere could be a carrier of the virus.

“Act as if you or someone you love could be Fiji’s next case of COVID-19.”
