A 36-YEAR-OLD charged for his involvement in a break-in at the Queen Elizabeth Barracks armoury in Nabua has been warned by the High Court to adhere strictly to scheduled appearance times.
Justice Dane Tuiqereqere issued the reminder to Isaia Ledua after cancelling a bench warrant issued against him when he failed to appear for a 9.30am court mention on Tuesday.
Mr Ledua presented himself at 2pm, explaining that his lawyer, Jerry Dinati, had advised him earlier to wait for him.
Mr Dinati has also filed voir dire grounds challenging the admissibility of DNA evidence relied upon by the State on the issue of consent.
In a separate matter before the same judge, the court heard that Saimoni Rokotunidau, who is currently hospitalised and charged with attempting to murder police constable Senoveva Tikoduadua alongside four other charges, will take his plea on the next date.
Both matters have been adjourned to September 10.
