The Nadi Magistrate’s Court has remanded a Lautoka couple facing criminal intimidation charges for their alleged involvement in sending threatening emails to Attorney-General Siromi Turaga this year.
Magistrate Shelyn Kiran said Rajneel Singh, and his wife Hanshika Singh committed an indictable offence and their lawyer needed to provide proper documentation to allow them bail.
The court heard that the alleged threats were made between August 4 to October 16.
Their bail request was refused despite the information that Mr Singh suffered a medical condition that denied him proper speech and mobility since last year.
The matter has been adjourned to next Tuesday.
