The six contestants vying for this year’s Vodafone Miss Tebara crown have been encouraged to highlight environment degradation and plastic pollution during the week-long fete.

This year’s theme for the carnival is “Clean and Healthy Environment”.

During the launch, Vodafone head of recharge and distribution Nilesh Singh said, the theme served as a powerful reminder of preserving our planet.

“Plastic pollution has become an urgent global concern, threatening marine life, polluting our oceans, and infiltrating even the remotest corners of our world,” he said.

He said the Tebara Carnival was an opportunity to unite as a community with a common purpose to spread awareness about reducing plastic usage, encouraging recycling and embracing eco-friendly alternatives.

The Vodafone Tebara Carnival will be held from September 9 to 16.
