Update: 3:01PM YEARS of lobbying Government for the regulation of Data Bureau came to an end yesterday for the Consumer Council of Fiji.
The council welcomes the new law which will give the
Fijian consumers whose names were listed on Data Bureau database, a clean slate
with no credit history.
Council’s CEO Premila Kumar says that it is a joyous
moment for consumers to start afresh.
Ms Kumar says consumers can now access loan or buy
goods on credit without being subjected to embarrassment and inconvenience.
