Marist Brothers High School’s David Singh dedicated his gold medal win to the school.
He jumped a distance of 6.57 meters in the senior boys’ long jump.
The Dreketi, Vanua Levu lad said he came to the competition to win a medal which he did.
“I am grateful to the support of the school and my family for believing in me,” he said.
“To be honest, I didn’t perform well in the Zone but I guess it was my faith that took me through.”
Holy Cross College Viliame Qerewaqa Augustine settled for silver with a distance of 6.51m while Ratu Kadavulevu School Varinava Murimuriwaca claimed bronze with a distance of 6.39m.
