THE Government is ready to publish the unredacted Commission of Inquiry (COI) report, says Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka.
“We’re ready to do that, but the request for it to be in electronic version might be cheaper for Government, than to print thousands of copies of paper,” he said.
“We’re trying to economise on the use of paper, but if we have to send out hard copies, and we are assured of our recycling capacity for papers for other purposes, fine.”
Mr Rabuka confirmed that soon, those mentioned in the report will receive their copies to allow them right of reply.
“We have to find out whether we have the resources to be able to finance the actual physical copying of these, and binding, and to get them out to those that are claiming they have the right.
“Not just claiming but have been recommended by the COI that they get copies of the report.”
He said the COI report he received from the commission was in a soft-copy version.
