A few Fijiana 7s players are expected to join the Senirusi Seruvakula-coached Rooster Chicken Fijiana 15s team after they return from the Rugby World Cup Sevens in Cape Town, South Africa.
This was confirmed by Seruvakula after their friendly match against the FMF Army women’s rugby team on Tuesday at Albert Park in Suva.
“Next week, we will have a few of the Fijiana 7s players marching into camp to join us before we pick our final team for the Rugby World Cup in New Zealand next month,” Seruvakula said.
“I can confirm now that the players are Reapi Uluinisau, Lavena Cavuru, Sesenieli Donu, Aloesi Nakoci, Rusila Nagasau and Ana Maria Naimasi.”
Before leaving the country for RWC Sevens, skipper Nagasau said it would be a dream come true if she would be selected for her first 15s RWC.
She is one step closer to achieving it when she returns from South Africa next week.
“We are happy that Rusila will march into camp when she returns from South Africa. She will come into the backline and we are looking forward to having them all with us.”
