Excitement is building up to the all important Shop N Save Supermarket-sponsored Lautoka Open Pro-Am Championship that will be held later this month.

According to Lautoka Golf Club (LGC) member Reginal Ram, more than 80 golfers are expected to take part in the tournament that will take place on November 25.

The defending champion of the tournament is former Fiji amateur champion Anuresh Chandra, who is now based in New Zealand. Ram says the club will also hold the Pre-Diwali Bash 18-holes Pro-Am on November 11.

“We are the only golf club in the country to host a tournament on every Saturday,” he said.

“The excitement is really building up for the Pro-Am tournament, where both amateurs and professionals would be competing.”

Meanwhile, the Beyond Paints-sponsored 9 holes Chicken Run stroke event is all good to go today.

“Once again a very big thank you to our good friend and director of Beyond Paints, Anand Kotaiya.

All entry fees to go towards WOWS Kids Fiji as always,” added Ram.
