Club to host build-up to championship

The Ba Golf Club will host an 18 holes stroke event at the Fiji Sugar Corporation Rarawai Course this Sunday as a build-up to the 50th RC Manubhai Ba Open Championship next weekend.

Fiji number one Abid Hussain of Nadi is the hot favourite for the amateur title at the Ba Open while Amitesh Chandra will defend the professional title.

Ba Golf Club vice-captain Rohit Chandra said entries for the Ba Open were filling up quickly.

He said more than 70 amateur golfers had registered already.

“The professionals will compete for a total prize purse of $4000,” Chandra said.
