Update: 1:30PM ASSISTANT Minister for Infrastructure and Transport Vijay Nath opened the Workshop on Enhancing Climate Indices for the Sector-Specific Applications in the South-Western Pacific Small Island Developing States in Nadi today.
Climate experts from around the world and representatives from meteorological services around the Pacific are participating in the forum.
Mr Nath highlighted the impact climate change was having across the Pacific and the importance of real time data and information to the region in his opening address.
The meeting is being held at the Tanoa International Hotel in Nadi.
