A black Louis Vuitton bag stuffed with a large sum of cash was found on drug suspect Justin Ho when he was arrested on remote Cobia Island in Taveuni last January.
The discovery was revealed during court proceedings yesterday in what is being described as the country’s largest drug case to date.
It was revealed that Mr Ho, along with co-accused Jale Aukerea and Louie Logaivau, had attempted to flee the country from the deserted island before being caught by police.
State witness Corporal Tomasi Tomu told the court that intelligence from the CID in Suva warned of “three youths planning to run away from Fiji”.
