TWO more businesses have partnered with the Sugar Cane Growers Fund to offer discounted services and supplies to farmers for the incoming crushing season.
SSUP Farm Machinery and Equipment and Star Bright Energy (Fiji) Pte Limited have joined the fund’s Loyalty Program.
SCGF chief executive officer Raj Sharma said they were pleased to extend the number of businesses that were willing to offer exclusive deals to cane growers.
“We’re also pleased to note SSUP Farm Machinery and Equipment is giving a 10 per cent discount on all their products while Star Bright Energy (Fiji) Pte Ltd is offering 7 per cent on all wholesale products,” said Mr Sharma.
“SCGF is excited to continuously grow the number of partners and participants offering growers access to exclusive benefits and rewards.”
Mr Sharma said since the launch, the Fund had issued cards to a total of 1656 growers.
He said they had also successfully partnered with 20 businesses, and that included private hospitals, pharmacies, general practitioners, medical laboratories, hardware and farm machinery dealers, and Vodafone.
Mr Sharma said the two companies were significant additions to their growing list of partner companies.
He added extensions had also been made to invite more growers to join the loyalty program.
“Initially, the Loyalty Card was fee-free until March 31, 2025, after which SCGF customers would pay a nominal fee of $10 and non-SCGF growers would be charged $20 for a three-year valid card.
“We are pleased to announce that the deadline has been extended to June 30, 2025, allowing growers to still benefit from free cards until then.”
The Fund had formulated the loyalty program last year to reward productive sugar cane growers in the country.
