Energy is what the four debutants into the FIJI Water Flying Fijians will bring into the team, ahead of the July Test series.
This was stated by head coach Mick Byrne, when announcing the 32-member squad for the two Tests against the Wallabies and Scotland.
The debutant quartet include Fijian Drua players Philip Baselala and Kavaia Tagivetaua, Hawkes Bay scrum-half Sam Wye and former Hurricanes player Salesi Rayasi.
Byrne said while their inclusion will induce energy within the team, there is also consideration on not applying a lot of pressure on them.
The Flying Fijians face the Wallabies on July 6 and Scotland on July 12.
The match against Scotland will take place at Suva’s ANZ Stadium.
