A retail businesswoman has invested $100,000 in her fourth shop located in the heart of Suva City.
Paradise Exclusives Fiji, which specialises in skincare products, jewellery, cosmetics, clothes and electrical appliances, already operates in Nausori, Namaka in Nadi, and Lautoka.
Business director Sharin Dutt said the high demand from customers had pushed her to expand her business.
She said this new outlet has created five new job opportunities.
She said this was one of their most awaited openings because of the growing customers in the Suva region.
“We have a lot of customers who are working in the city, and it was hard for them to visit the Nausori branch. Now they can come and buy things during their lunch hour as well and don’t have to travel too far and get stuck in the traffic,” Ms Dutt said.
She said acquiring National Fire Authority (NFA) and occupational health and safety (OHS) certifications were some of the challenges she encountered that delayed the opening.
Ms Dutt had initially started her second clothing business in 2016 in Nausori, but was closed down because it was not doing well.
“Despite the challenges I had in life, I did not give up.”
Ms Dutt said she opened her first Paradise Exclusives Fiji shop in Nausori two years later and had since gained a lot of popularity.
“My customers are the ones that have motivated me to expand my business and today, I am proud to be one of the successful businesswomen with a lot of customer support.”
Plans are now in the pipeline to expand her business to the Northern Division.
