Business commitment to clean up beach and the environment

STOP throwing rubbish out of vehicle windows and use rubbish bins when they are provided.

This was the message from Moksha Spa and Gazebo Cafe executive assistant Hasina Hussein.

Staff members from the brand new spa and café facility which is undergoing the final phase of construction at Maui Bay have made a commitment to clear the Queens Rd and beaches along the coastal area once every three months.

“We all love to swim and play in the ocean and relax at the beach but when it comes to taking care of our environment, many people abuse the privilege by leaving bottles, chip bags and other litter behind,” she said.

Ms Hussein said a team of 15 volunteers filled more than 15 garbage bags with rubbish during a clean-up conducted recently.

“It’s a real shame that people have no pride in keeping our beautiful country clean.

“We at Moksha Spa and the Gazebo Cafe are dedicated to helping fight global warming by planting many trees and plants on our property and keeping our beaches and ocean clean.”

The Moksha Spa and Gazebo Café are located at Lot 59 West Rd, Maui Bay.

The business will officially open November 15.
