Break-in at FICAC storage warehouse – no sensitive materials taken, says acting FICAC boss

Police are investigating a break-in at the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC) storage warehouse on Carpenters Street in Raiwai.

Acting Commissioner, Lavi Rokoika said no official files, documents, or sensitive materials were stored at or taken from the premises.

She added this was strictly a non-operational storage facility.

“The incident has been formally reported to the Fiji Police Force, and FICAC is cooperating fully with the ongoing investigation,” she said.

“Any attempt to imply otherwise is misleading and irresponsible.”

Ms Rokoika added FICAC remains committed to the security and integrity of its operations.

Police spokesperson, Ana Naisoro confirmed Police were investigating the matter.
