A trip to Ratu Kadavulevu School yesterday turned tragic for a Vatukoula family after they were involved in an accident, resulting in the death of a one-year-old boy.
The accident happened at Tobu, Ra.
Dead is Vilimoni Ravutu who was travelling in the rental car driven by his father.
The 29-year-old driver, who works at the Vatukoula Gold Mine, is alleged to have collided with an oncoming vehicle.
The road death toll stands at 45 compared with 59 for the same period last year.
