A TRY to Levani Botia with the services of Fijians Jone Qovu, Kini Murimurivalu and former New Zealand 7s player David Raikuna helped La Rochelle register a 24-14 win over Bayonne yesterday, Planet Rugby reports.
The website in its report said: “The visitors effectively killed the game right after the break after Levani Botia scored their third try to give La Rochelle a 22-9 lead, which was again converted by Brock James.
The victorious La Rochelle outfit was leading 17-9 at half time in the Challenge Cup.
It was reported La Rochelle took full advantage immediately when Leandro Cedaro went over for the first try of the match, which James promptly converted.
Meanwhile, Bayonne was boosted with the service of former All Blacks reps Adam Whitelock and Tanerau Latimer.
