The Fiji Football Association, with major sponsor Digicel, handed $20,000 to the Rewa Football Club for the upcoming OFC Champions League in New Zealand next month.
Fiji FA president Rajesh Pate reminded them on what was at stake for the Delta Tigers and wished them well for the tournament.
“The sponsorship will not completely take off the burden of Rewa football but it will help them,” said Patel.
Meanwhile, the Delta Tigers left the country yesterday and will open their OFC Champions League campaign against Nikao Sokattak FC at 3pm on the August 5 at Ngahue Reserve in New Zealand.
