Seven schools in the Maritime zone were presented with a generous donation of $2500 each worth of sporting equipment at the SportsWorld branch in Suva yesterday.
This act of generosity followed the conclusion of an intense Fiji Finals competition, where the schools not only attained medals but also received valuable sporting gear.
Biu Colati, the secretary of the Fiji Secondary Schools Athletics Association, described this donation as a significant moment for the Maritime schools.
He expressed gratitude towards the sponsors, Coca Cola and SportsWorld, for their collaborative effort in providing support to the schools from the Maritime zone through essential sporting equipment.
“This is a historical moment for us, as our sponsor Coca Cola and SportsWorld joint hands in support of our Maritime schools this year,” said Colati.
“I’m so grateful for the partnership between our sponsor and SportsWorld for helping our Maritime schools with this equipment’s.”
Vinod Kumar, the General Manager of SportsWorld, also extended his thanks to the Fiji Secondary Schools for their partnership.
He emphasised the importance of providing the schools with proper equipment to aid in their training and performance.
The total sponsorship amounted to $17,500 worth of equipment.
