Iferemi Boladau is excited to participate in his first Coca-Cola Games.
The 17-year-old Kadavu Provincial School runner said he had been trying to qualify for the Fiji Finals since his first year in high school.
He will be competing in the intermediate boys 100-metre sprint event.
“I have always tried to come here (Suva) and compete with the best in Fiji and have a feel of running on the tracks,” he said.
Boladau said he was motivated to participate this year after watching the Coca-Cola games last year .
“I have always reached the zone meet and fail to qualify but after watching here at the stadium last year, I wanted to get a feel of being an athlete in the competition.”
Boladau is part of a 10-athlete team from Kadavu Provincial School who will be participating in the three-day event starting tomorrow.
