VODAFONE Fiji Bati player Etuate Bola said it was just the beginning of his international rugby league journey as he prepared himself for the Rugby League World Cup in two weeks’ time.
The Nabua Broncos player is reeling from his selection into the national side for the world tournament.
“To actually playing in my first Test at the ANZ Stadium on Saturday was frightening,” he said a day after the match against world champion Australia here at home.
“For me, I am always scared whenever I play because I feel like I am being pressured to do my best.
“One of the highlights of my game was playing against the the Kangaroos.
“They gave us a good game and made us to realise some of our mistakes.
“I need to improve on my defence skills and try to get myself connected with the players on the field.”
Bola said he had learned a lot from the overseas-based players in terms of skills.
“Camping with these players have taught me so much, especially on the game structure and showing me some skills, but one thing I am grateful for is the bond that we have formed.
“It is crazy living with these players. The things that we get into fun things just to divert our minds away from anything.
“With the world cup in front of us, we can do it with God by our side nothing is impossible.”
