Lautoka FC continued their impressive run in the Extra Premier League with a convincing 2-0 win over Nadroga FC at Churchill Park yesterday.

The match began with both sides showing strong intent and creating several scoring opportunities. However, neither team could find the back of the net as the first half ended in a goalless draw. Solid defensive work and missed chances kept the scoreboard locked at 0-0.

Lautoka returned from the break with a renewed attacking strategy, displaying more aggression and control. Their efforts paid off as Shiva Pillay opened the scoring, followed shortly by a well-placed strike from Sikeli Ratucava, sealing the victory.

The Blues maintained discipline and composure throughout the second half, holding off Nadroga’s advances and keeping a clean sheet to secure the three points.

Lautoka head coach Imdad Ali praised his team’s growing discipline and focus.

“Discipline of the team is becoming better. It was important in this game because we want to improve in the league ladder,” he said.

Ali also noted the inclusion of new players.

“I tried some new boys, some were not playing before. They need more game time. It was a heavy game, but the boys played well and scored two goals.”

Lautoka FC now look ahead with renewed confidence as they aim to climb higher on the league standings.
