The 2026 Fiji-Australia Business Council (FABC) and Australia-Fiji Business Council (AFBC) Joint Business Forum has today announced a powerhouse line-up of strategic partners for the upcoming landmark event at Suva’s Grand Pacific Hotel from August 27–29.

This year’s forum holds special significance as it coincides with the 40th Ruby Anniversary of the Fiji-Australia Business Council (FABC).

Since its inception, the FABC has been at the forefront of fostering friendship, goodwill, and economic cooperation between the two nations. Celebrating four decades of impact, the Council continues to provide the premier platform for high-level dialogue and regional collaboration.

Under the overarching theme ‘Strategy for a shifting landscape’, the forum is being propelled by the region’s leaders in finance, telecommunications, logistics, and commercial services.

Westpac Fiji, a Gold sponsor and one of the Pacific’s longest-standing financial institutions, leads the charge in fostering economic resilience.

“Westpac Fiji is proud to support the 2026 Joint Business Forum,” the bank stated.

“As a long-term partner in Fiji’s economic development, we remain committed to connecting people, supporting businesses, and fostering the partnerships that drive sustainable growth and opportunity across our region.”

The forum’s digital and technology landscape is anchored by Digicel Pacific.

As part of the Telstra family, Digicel’s involvement highlights its role as an essential enabler of cross-border commerce, focusing on 5G rollout, secure cloud architecture, and digital wallet ecosystems like MyCash to help businesses stay resilient.

Critical to navigating the shifting landscape is the reliability of trade routes.

Swire Shipping, with more than 80 years of service in the South Pacific, joins the forum to highlight the vital role of logistics.

“Our objective is to highlight the vital role shipping plays in enabling economic growth and resilient supply chains,” Swire Shipping noted.

“Our fortnightly fixed-day window service between Australia and Fiji provides businesses with the reliability needed to grow trade across the region.”

Local commercial excellence is represented by Vision Commercial, focusing on innovation and sustainable commercial practices.

“Vision Commercial is honoured to support this important platform,” said Rajneel Kishor, senior commercial manager.

“We believe that collaboration, innovation, and investment in our business community are key drivers of sustainable economic growth.”

Rounding out the high-level support is AquaSafe, celebrating its 30th year of operation and its role as a major sponsor of the Fijian Drua.

AquaSafe noted that the councils fulfil a “critical role in facilitating trade and fostering strong ties between governments”.

FABC secretariat, Lisa Apted, emphasised that the calibre of these partnerships and the Council’s 40-year legacy reflected the high stakes of the current regional environment.

“This 40th Ruby Anniversary is a significant milestone for FABC, marking four decades of dedicated service to the Fiji-Australia business relationship,” Ms Apted stated.

“The alignment of our partners with this year’s theme ensures that the forum is not just a celebration of our history, but a launchpad for the next chapter of regional commercial execution. Don’t just adapt to the future of Pacific business – be in the room where it’s being built.”

With delegate numbers approaching capacity, registrations will officially close in the coming week.

Business leaders, exporters, and investors are urged to complete their bookings immediately via the official FABC website to guarantee participation in this anniversary event.
