Best friends tie the knot

PARAMATTA Eels and former dual international Semi Radradra weds his high school best friend in a secret wedding attended by close family, friends and church members.

The wedding ceremony was held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints temple at Samabula, Suva about 6am yesterday morning.

The secret wedding for Radradra and his best friend 25-year-old Vika Fifita took place with an early morning service.

With the sunrise in the morning started with the journey of Radradra and Fifita’s new live’s together as husband and wife.

According to the bride’s mother Ivamere Fifita, her son in law had always been a part of their family.

“Actually Semi started it off by calling me mum during his school days,” Ivamere said.

“I taught him back at LDS Secondary School and little did I realise or did I know that this would happen, it was a surprise, but a good surprise.”

She said Radradra had always been referring to her during his high school years as mummy but back then he and Fifita were best friends then.

She said he used to come visit their family a couple of times before and as one of their family friends it was only fitting for him and Fifita to get married.

“This is just a beginning of a wonderful relationship between Semi’s family and Vika’s family.
