The 2024 Flick Hygiene Pacific Community Cup kicks off today at Churchill Park, Lautoka, bringing together top football talents from across the globe.
The much-anticipated tournament starts with a Group B clash between the USA All-Stars and Labasa FC at 4.30pm.
Tailevu Naitasiri’s Saikusa Saqiri, goalkeeper Kitione Baleloa and Solomon Islanders Atkin Kaua and Carlos Liomasia have joined Labasa FC.
USA All-Stars coach and player Imone Mohanta highlighted the team’s global diversity, with players from the US, Canada, and England.
“We’ve worked hard to unify as a team despite our geographic challenges,” Mohanta said.
“Our aim is simple to take the cup back to the US.”
The Josaia Bukalidi Jr-coached NZFFI Auckland Allstars will play Rewa FC at 7.30pm while NZFFI Manukau All-Stars, featuring former Fiji internationals and Vanuatu’s Alex Saniel, will battle Lautoka FC at 8.45pm.
Meanwhile, Navua FC faces AuFFI Australia Allstars at 6.15pm, with both teams eager to set the tone in Group A.
