Lora Francesa who ran barefoot on the National Stadium tracks and won gold in the 3,000 metres girls’ open grade final at the Suva Zone 2, has been gifted with a new pair of shoes.
Telecom Fiji Limited has stepped in and gifted the Rampur College student with a gift certificate from JR White to buy not only a new pair of track shoes but additional sporting gear for her competition.
Telecom’s chief executive officer Charles Goundar reiterated their commitment to supporting Fijian athletes and their journey to success.
“Francesca’s story is an inspiration and we are honoured to play a small role in helping her achieve her dreams.,” he said.
“We believe that investing in young athletes like Francesca is an investment in the future of Fiji. “By supporting their development, we are nurturing a generation of passionate and dedicated individuals who will lead our nation to success.”
