Bank’s investment grow

BSP Life announced today that as at August 31 2017, its investment portfolio stands at more than $596 million.

Their investment portfolio grew by more than $14m from $582m in February 2017 to $596m as at August 31, 2017 positioning BSP Life as a leading institutional investor in Fiji. In the past six years (since 2012), the investment portfolio has grown by $151m representing a 36 per cent growth.

The growth reflects BSP Life’s commitment to maximise returns for its policyholders which get distributed as bonuses annually.

In 2016, BSP Life distributed $20.2m to policyholders as bonuses, an increase of 17 per cent over the previous year demonstrating BSP Life’s ability to provide ongoing value for customers as a direct outcome of the expanding investment portfolio.

In simple terms, when customers take out a life insurance policy with BSP Life, their payments or premiums are invested in this investment portfolio. Growth from this investment portfolio is returned as bonuses to customers or policyholders. It is difficult for most Fijians to develop a vast investment portfolio of their own so by taking out a life insurance policy the customer or policyholder participates in the large pool of investments together with other existing policyholders, so, investing with BSP Life is a wise way to save or invest.

Apart from providing returns to policyholders, BSP Life’s investments help Fiji grow by providing employment, paying taxes that support public infrastructure as well as introducing new initiatives like the MIOT Pacific Hospital. MIOT Pacific was borne out of a vision to bring world-class healthcare to Fiji and develop a medical tourism hub that would service Fijians, the South Pacific, Australia and New Zealand.

When people invest in a Life Insurance policy, they are also partnering with BSP Life in making a difference to our economy and our communities.

Life insurance is a flexible financial tool that is tailored to support people’s goals according to their affordability. It is a long term commitment which pays dividends for customers who are able to prioritise their spending and diligently continue their insurance payments.

BSP Life encourages those who do not have life insurance policies to consider investing in one to ensure financial security for themselves and their loved ones.

BSP Life has 150 professional insurance advisers and 10 customer service centres in Fiji offering professional services and a broad range of products to suit various life needs. Call BSP Life on 132700 for more details or visit their website on www.bsplife.com.
