Bail has been granted to a 29-year-old man charged in relation to online fraud cases.

Avneet Veer Singh’s application for bail was granted by the Lautoka Magistrate’s Court where he appeared recently.

It is alleged that Mr Singh, a resident of Wailoaloa in Nadi, had obtained close to $2000 on four separate occasions for goods he posted for sale on Facebook.

Police said Mr Singh, an employee of Air Terminal Services, failed to supply the goods after receiving money from the victims between 2022 and 2025.

He was charged with four counts of obtaining financial advantage by deception.

During his bail hearing, Magistrate Seini Puamau told Mr Singh to stay out of trouble and not commit a crime while out on bail.

His non-cash bail bond was $5000. Mr Singh was also told not to change his home address and appear in court on October 3.

Ms Puamau warned his surety, a family friend, that he would pay $5000 if Mr Singh fails to adhere to the bail conditions.
