Business Assistance Fiji (BAF) will hold a two-day conference in March this year giving micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) a platform to discuss issues and challenges they face in the sector.

“The basic idea is to get the MSMEs, and I think it has been very long, I can’t recall when the last MSME conference was held,” BAF general manager Ramesh Chand said.

“We need a platform where MSMEs can come and discuss issues, challenges that they face, ideas that they see that is happening or learn from the other MSMEs.”

The conference is expected to feature local and overseas speakers.

“We are also trying to get in our partner Business Link Pacific to speak on MSMEs, the work they have been doing, and how we could further improve the work that they have been doing.”

Mr Chand says participation for the event will be on first-come-first-served basis, so MSMEs operators are encouraged to give in their applications as soon as the event is launched on January 17, 2024.

The conference will be held on March 7-8, coinciding with International Women’s day, at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva.
