BA Industries Ltd signed a new partnership with the Sugar Cane Growers Fund Loyalty Program in Lautoka last Friday.

This signing makes them the 18th partner with the Growers Fund.

General manager Sanjay Badgujar said they were urging the young generations that they had a future in farming.

“The Ba Industry Limited logo was red, and we’ve converted it into green,” he said.

“We want to make our country green as much as possible. And that is why we’ve diversified into agriculture, and we are promoting agriculture under the brand of agri-tech.”

Fund CEO Raj Sharma said they were excited to partner with Ba Industries Ltd.

“It is great that we are going into partnership,” Mr Sharma said.

“Not only for this partnership, but we have also been meeting and sharing your insights

“And you are trying to deploy into the agricultural sector in many dimensions and not only relating to sugarcane industry.

“You are also looking at acquiring land to plant and you have also got modern machines.”

Mr Sharma emphasised they were committed to the sugarcane farmers with the launch of the loyalty program on December 15, 2024.

“We already have 1500 farmers registered on this.

“Actually, our target for the whole year was to get about 1200 farmers and we are just in the fifth month, and we’ve exceeded that number.”

He acknowledged Ba Industries Ltd for giving a discount on the tractor machines purchased by farmers.

“Farmers get a 5 percent discount, even when you buy a tractor at a value of $50,000 or $45,000, you get 2200 discount and that is big money for a farmer.”
