The Aotearoa Māori international netball team has arrived in Fiji, setting the stage for a series of crucial matches against Fiji’s under-21 Baby Pearls.

The first match will take place at the Fiji National University (FNU) campus today.

With two additional matches on Monday and Tuesday, these games form part of the Fiji team’s ongoing preparation for the 2025 World Cup.

Netball Fiji CEO Vivian Koster explained the players who did not travel to the Cook Islands for the recent World Youth Cup qualifiers will feature in these matches.

These upcoming matches are crucial for the development and evaluation of all players, with every player fighting for their spot in the final squad.

The Baby Pearls are now focused on improving, aiming to refine their strategies for the World Cup in 2025.

Today’s match starts at 1pm. Entry is $3.
