FIJI Airways national 7s coach Gareth Baber says the side will build on the positives gained from this year’s HSBC World Sevens Series.
He said the team had copped heavy criticism after its quarter-final loss to England at the Paris 7s .
“I take huge positives out of our performance levels during the season,” said Baber.
“Up until this point, myself, management and players had been heavily criticised.
“I believe that this provided a catalyst for further development and established a focus on how we do things.
“This in turn led to a greater clarity of “our’ system, one which we all understood and enabled a basis for a secure training performing environment.”
Baber guided the 7s team to five tournaments wins and also created history by winning four consecutive 7s tournaments.
The side arrives home tomorrow morning.
