Ba to face Taveuni at Lawaqa Park

VINOD Patel Ba will face Taveuni at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka in the third round of the Skipper Cup competition this Saturday.

The change of venue was confirmed by the Ba Rugby Union earlier this week, with the match originally expected to be played elsewhere.

In a statement, the Ba Rugby Union confirmed that its Skipper Cup away match against Taveuni would be played at Lawaqa Park.

” The Skipper Cup away game against Taveuni will be played at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka,” the union stated.

Ba will be looking to maintain its momentum in the competition as teams enter another crucial round of matches.

The third round will also feature several exciting match-ups across the country.

Malolo will take on Navosa, while Kadavu will make history by hosting its first-ever Skipper Cup match when it faces Rewa at Namalata District School in Vunisea.

The match will mark a significant occasion for rugby on the island, with Kadavu welcoming Skipper Cup action to its home ground for the first time.

In the Western Division, Lautoka will host Naitasiri at Churchill Park, while Tailevu will meet Nadroga at Ratu Cakobau Park.

Suva will host Nadi in another highly anticipated clash.

With teams continuing to battle for valuable competition points, the third round promises another weekend of intense Skipper Cup rugby.
