THE Ahmed & Syndicate-sponsored Ba Muslim team is gearing up for an exciting showdown at the 2025 FMSA Tebara Halal Meats Muslim IDC, which kicks off tomorrow at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka.

With free entry for fans, the tournament promises a weekend of high-energy football and strong community spirit.

Ba Muslim has been one of the standout teams in recent editions of the IDC. In 2023, they reached the final but were edged out by Nadi in a 1-3 defeat, with all three of Nadi’s goals coming from Mohammed Shafin in the first half. Undeterred, Ba came back strong in the 2024 edition, once again pushing their way into the final and proving they are a consistent force in Fijian Muslim football.

Ba Muslim Secretary Ifraz Ali shared his confidence in the team’s preparation and unity heading into the 2025 tournament.

“Despite the challenges, Ba is prepared for the upcoming tournament and hopes to perform at its best, relying on the strength of our experienced players.

“We are expecting good performances and wishing all other teams the best. May the best team win as we continue to promote brotherhood in this special tournament,” he said.

In addition to their football campaign, Ba Muslim is also proudly fielding a volleyball team for the tournament, sponsored by Vishal’s IT Solution, showing their commitment to holistic sportsmanship.
