DAYAL’S Sawmillers Ba FC has presented the full gate takings in cash to Vilimaina Vatu, wife of former Ba and national football rep Tuimasi Manuca, who is currently battling cancer.
The donation follows the Ba Football Association’s commitment to contribute 100 per cent of its gate takings from their Round 4 Extra Premier League clash against Suva FC, held at 4R Stadium, Govind Park.
Ba FA president Praneel Dayal said the initiative reflected the football community’s support for one of its own during a difficult time.
“Here’s my promise our 100 percent share goes to our legend Tuimasi. Please continue to keep him in your prayers,” Dayal said.
He also acknowledged the Fiji Football Association for their support and quick assistance in releasing the funds.
“This was all possible only because of you, Ba fans. You are our strength,” Dayal added.
Vilimaina Vatu expressed her deep gratitude for the overwhelming support received.
“We are truly thankful to Ba Football, the fans, and everyone who contributed. This support means everything to our family and gives us strength as Tuimasi continues his fight,” she said.
The initiative was made possible by the incredible turnout and support from Ba fans, once again highlighting the strong bond within the football community.
