Aussies spent $1.2 billion in Fiji as tourists in 2024

Australian tourists brought in $1.2 billion into Fiji last year, the Fiji Bureau of Statistics has stated in its Fiji’s Earnings from Tourism 2024 report.

The figure is derived from an estimated average daily spend of visitors and the total visitor days in Fiji.

Total tourism earnings for the year 2024 stood at $2.53 billion.

2024 earnings went up by 1.9 percent ($48.1 million) when compared to the 2023 figure of $2.48 billion.

New Zealand tourists brought $548 million in Fiji, $273.9 million was spent by USA citizens while $116.6 million was spent by Pacific Islanders.
