Swire Shipping Fijian Drua fly-half Isaiah Armstrong-Ravula is embracing the grind as the team prepares for the new season with a fresh coaching staff and new ideas.
Speaking about the preseason, Armstrong-Ravula said the team had been putting in the hard yards to ensure they’re in top shape.
“The boys have been doing a lot of running, just trying to get the bodies right,” he shared.
“We’re also adapting to different shapes and structures, which we weren’t used to before, but it’s coming together with more reps.”
With the Drua aiming to make a strong statement next season, Armstrong talks about the importance of preparation and adaptability under the new coaching team.
The evolving strategies are helping the players enhance their game, ensuring they can deliver when it matters.
Armstrong-Ravula encourage aspiring young rugby players who look up to him as a role model.
“Just keep working hard,” he said.
“Talent can only take you so far. Hard work is what makes the difference.”
