Twenty-Eight-Year-Old Waisea Rinakama has been remanded in custody by the Lautoka Magistrate’s Court.
Mr Rinakama is alleged to have sexually assaulted a 17-year-old girl in Lautoka earlier this week.
He is charged with one count of rape. Mr Rinakama appeared in court yesterday before Magistrate Seini Puamau.
Magistrate Puamau has transferred the case to the High Court in Lautoka. The matter has been adjourned to June 10 for mention.
