Local boxer Mohammed Ali confidently asserts, “I will make the fight end in round one, I don’t want to take much of my time in the ring and his, I’m confident I will finish him in round one with a knockout”.
Ali’s response to Ronald Naidu as they battle it out for the Super Lightweight title at the Blue Water Boxing Promotion, to take place at the Vodafone Arena in Suva today.
He emphasizes his desire to let his performance in the ring speak for itself, stating, “I just want to do the talking in the ring.
“I’ve been waiting for this moment for so long my first title, and I’m not going to let it slip away,” said Ali.
“After my last fight with Ubayd Haider, I had to work hard to get back in shape because I lost 10kg during that match, now, I’m preparing to face Naidu, and I know it’s going to be tough, but I’m prepared for the challenge.
Ali remains resolute in his belief that this is his moment to shine and seize the long-awaited opportunity before him.
“I’ve learned a lot from my past fights and have been putting in the work to improve my skills and fitness.
“I know Naidu well, but I believe it’s my time to shine, and I’ve been waiting for this opportunity for a long time.
“I’m confident that I can end the fight in the first round with a knockout, I don’t want to drag it out and waste anyone’s time.”
Ali extends his invitation to supporters from Nadi to rally behind him as he embarks on the journey towards securing the title.
