Albanese in Fiji on first official visit

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese made his first official visit to Fiji this afternoon.

Mr Albanese was greeted by Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka at the Blackrock Peacekeeping and Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief Camp in Nadi.

After being accorded a traditional welcome ceremony, the two Prime Minister’s engaged in a private bilateral talks.

Following the meeting, Mr Albanese said their discussions were very positive and that they looked forward to building a stronger relationship with the Coalition Government.
