Barely three years after recovering from the wrath of the COVID-19 pandemic, Fiji is now ranked highly signifying its prominent position and recognition as a preferred destination among global travellers.
And this most recent accomplishment, according to Tourism Fiji chief executive officer Brent Hill, enhances Fiji’s appeal and attracts more visitors, leading to a boost in tourism and increased spending in the local economy.
“This success highlights Fiji’s exceptional experiences and reinforcing its reliability as a preferred choice as well as increasing visibility,” he said.
“It also creates opportunities for further growth and development within Fiji’s tourism sector, attracting investments, partnerships, and new developments that contribute to job creation and economic progress.
“While we celebrate our accomplishments, we remain committed to continuous improvement and innovation.”
Mr Hill says their marketing team will closely monitor market trends, adapt strategies accordingly and explore new opportunities to further enhance Fiji’s position as a premier tourist destination.
In order to continue this positive trend, he shares that Tourism Fiji continues to be dedicated to continue marketing Fiji around the world, collaborating with industry professionals, relevant stakeholders and every Fijian to preserve and promote our natural beauty.
He says these strategies include embracing our cultural heritage, prioritise service excellence, implement strategic marketing and promotion, foster collaboration and partnerships among stakeholders and enhance infrastructure.
“As markets have fully reopened and competition intensifies, it becomes the collective responsibility of all of us to ensure the continuity of this momentum.
“Our marketing strategies have been focused on adapting to the changing landscape and leveraging the digital platforms to reach and engage with potential travellers.
“We have been proactive in promoting Fiji as a safe and enticing destination, highlighting our pristine natural beauty, unique cultural experiences, and warm hospitality.”
